Features Fade
This is a slideshow of a new mixed media piece of mine. The main piece is a hand embroidered portrait which "melts" as water runs over and down the piece. Over time it slowly deteriorates leaving glimpses of an identical portrait behind that is left in its original state. This is a piece about the process of letting go of our expectations and ideas of beauty.
Work in Motion
This is a short clip with two of my free floating embroidery pieces in rotation to illustrate both the front and back of the piece. These pieces are suspended with clear floss to appear as if they are floating within a plexiglass frame.
